Sarum Arts Society was founded in 1986 and has become well established in Salisbury. It draws its members from the city and many of the surrounding towns and villages.
Lectures are held on the second Tuesday of every month, except August and September, in the Methodist Church, St Edmunds Church Street, Salisbury SP1 1EF, starting promptly at 11.00am. Coffee is available from 10.00-10.35am, and Announcements are made at 10.50am. Arriving in good time to have a cup of coffee gives members an opportunity to meet each other and to form friendships.
The facilities near the hall are excellent, including Salt Lane car park. There are also several buses into Salisbury as well as Park-and-Ride drop off points.
Outings to exhibitions and historic houses are well supported by members, and in recent years short holidays have proved to be popular with members and their spouses.
Members also have the opportunity to attend lectures arranged by the Regional and National organisation, join foreign tours accompanied by relevant Lecturers and receive The Arts Society quarterly magazine.
